Summer coming south

The short days and chill nights are sliding away as the sun comes down south. The winds arrive with sudden changes in directions at this time and the sunlight starts getting hard and bright from eleven am until four pm again. That's summer in S Africa.
Spring time brings a season of flowers displays all over of amazing color and contrasts around the country. Ocean waves chop and change very fast with the winds and light. Seasons are good for everyone and each day is a new day! that the Lord has Made! or do you think it shall spin for another million years! are You there Hello!! Destiny is everything

New Exposures Make things look different

Did a few interesting things on Tuesday with my settings for water photography and had a few good photo images that produced a dramatic contrast look to the action captured in the surf.  Thought the effort of swimming shooting Surfing at New Pier Beach Durban would not be worthwhile but to my surprise a moment or two look pretty good.

Ocean and Weather for Photos

Well this year of 2011 March to June/July  around the North and South Coasts,including Durban there has been some really fun days for water sports in the ocean waves. Managed some nice water action photos from New Pier,North Beach to Balito Bay Coves.
The Contest at Balito Bay although cloudy a lot of the time had waves riders hope in all events they enter. Balito Bays Surfers did not let down. A great week. Swell dropped after the final day but some clean blue water and blue sky came along for two days with smaller waves which were fun by all who were surfing in the coves and photographing.

We all shall be hoping for a few more good days along the coastline to capture some good photos before the offshores fade into summer.

Busy Busy Catching Data and images

Winter 2011 along the KZ Natal coast has started fairly well for the waves for ocean riders along the north and south coasts of Durban. Just today the Sardines have arrived along the beaches putting the brakes on many ocean sport activities.

Golfing Images

Did some golfing images last weekend at the DCC Pro event and with the 1Dmark4 the frame grab is quite amazing at 10fps. Have a few images on my Photoshelter.com page. Summer is here with the rain and cloud cover around which limits shooting some days, a little frustrating at times, do not wish to take water housings onto field events.
